I am sure we have all watched this new Netflix sequel by now and I am definitely late to that party. I refused to watch it on Valentine's Day because I can't be that big of a cliché, I'd rather wait a couple days till the dust settles of hearts and love and really tear this thing apart. Honestly, I absolutely loved the first film and thought the storyline was unique. The second film, ehhh not so much. I think that we can get the word "predictable" out of the way now because I'm sure everyone felt the same way. The first half of the movie was LJ complaining about how she doesn't think she will be enough for Peter and continuously compares herself to his many ex-girlfriends and especially Gen. Being a girl, I have gone through this multiple times and definitely felt LJ's pain throughout the movie. Peter Kavinsky was still as hot as the first movie, so we all knew LJ was going to go running back to him anyway. One thing I did enjoy about the movie was the soundtrack, yes it was very Pop, but definitely fit the vibe that they were going for. There was one moment in the film that through me for a loop which was when Peter admitted that he was originally waiting for Gen in the hot tub instead of Lara Jean. I was very surprised and it was a beautiful twist out of nowhere to be honest. All in all, I thought that the film was entertaining and a cute sequel for the first movie. There will be a third movie that follows although the release date is unknown.
