I can't believe this movie came out two years ago already. It feels like it just came out and I'm watching it for the first time all over again. I know huge Queen fans were not too happy about the end product because of some facts that were left out or fabricated throughout the movie and as someone who LOVES Queen and especially Freddie Mercury I thought they did really well. Unfortunately, you can't make everyone happy and that's just what people need to learn. I thought the comparisons for the band mates of Queen and the people who played them were fucking amazing. Some of the scenes were almost uncanny and it must have been surreal for Roger Taylor and Brian May to watch Rami Malek play Freddie. I thought the music was absolutely wonderful, as per usual, and I'm a sucker for romance so to see Rami Malek and Lucy Boynton (who played Mary Austin) actually together in real life is totally a plus. During the whole movie while I watched it in the theater all I wanted to do was jump out of my seat and start dancing and I think that was the point. They definitely succeeded. In another life, I wish I knew Freddie and was friends with him.
