What's Your Favorite Genre?

I know that there are hundreds upon thousands of genres out there to choose from when it comes to film, some genres I don't even know about yet are still waiting to be discovered. I am going to lay out my top 5 favorite genres, 5 being my least favorite and 1 being my favorite, that I look forward to watching at home and at the movie theaters.

Number 5: Horror. I absolutely hate jump scares and characters who are visually terrifying. I can only handle a certain amount of scary before I go to bed or else I am not sleeping. The reason it is still in my top 5 is because I do enjoy watching horror films with a group of people because then I can talk my fear away and make fun of certain things in the movie so that it doesn't seem as scary in my mind.

Number 4: Fantasy. I'm sure you guys knew that this genre was going to be in my top 5 because I have recently been obsessed with Harry Potter and the whole entire series, but what you may not know is that I am also obsessed with the Twilight series. Team Edward all the way baby! I read all the books and have seen every film maybe about 500 times.

Number 3: Action. I love a good action scene! Literally any fight scene that showcases one of the characters as a total badass gets me every time especially female characters completely tearing up a group of weak dudes. Some of my favorite action movies are Salt, John Wick, any of the James Bond movies, Charlie's Angels (not the remake), Atomic Blonde, Wonder Woman, Kill Bill, so on and so forth.

Number 2: Comedy. Everyone loves a movie that makes you laugh your ass off and I enjoy it just as much as the next. Lately, some of the comedies that have been released don't compare to what used to be released. What I would really love is another movie like White Chicks, She's The Man, or any of the Scary Movie Parodies. My cousins and I could recite the entire script to any of those movies and constantly use it as a form of communication 😂

Number 1: Romance. This may not come as much of a surprise to most of you, but I am such a sucker for a good romance story with a little twist. Most romance films follow the same formula so it tends to get old to be honest, but that doesn't stop my conquest looking for the next best romance film. Some of my favorite are The Last Song, P.S. I Love You, Titanic (yes, I consider this movie the best love story of all time), Stuck in Love, Love, Rosie and the list can and will go on.
